Stanchion Filament Spool Holder 3D Model

Print pieces in the following quantities : stanchion flange ...... 2 each 90º fitting .................. 2 each 152mm pipe ............. 2 each 100mm pipe.............. 1 piece Assemble: Using Hot Glue or other adhesive Glue one 152mm pipe into each stanchion flange making two Uprights. [2 X Uprights.] Glue each end of the 100mm pipe into a 90º fitting making the Cross Bar. [1 X Cross Bar.] It is a good practice to mount the Cross Bar onto the uprights and turn the 90º fittings to the same direction before the adhesive/glue sets. Remember: DO NOT GLUE THE _UPRIGHTS INTO THE 90º FITTINGS! Without Glue - Fit/Assemble the Uprights into the Cross Bar making the Assembly. [1 X Assembly.] Set the Assembly where it will be mounted and then Hot Glue the stanchion flange bottoms in place. Or use the included screw holes and four screws (2 screws for each stanchion.) to mount the Uprights. (My Assembly is mounted on my printer with only Hot Glue.) Mount/Push the Cross Bar onto the Uprights and your Stanchion Filament Spool Holder Assembly is complete. Use: Pull the Cross Bar off the Assembly and put it through the center hole of a filament spool. Mount/Push the Cross Bar (90º fittings) onto the Uprights. From the spool, pull filament and thread it into the extruder/printer. You are done. You may decide to have or create some filament routing accessories but, that is yours to do. Background: I did not want to go to the store to buy pipe and fittings. And I did not feel like cutting, drilling and messing with screws, bolts or bearings. So, I designed and printed this spool holder. Note: The parts are not standard pipe or fitting sizes. I was also too lazy to research or get up but, I did not give up enjoying the creativity and freedom of design and print. We can print anything! [If anyone wants standard sized fittings and/or pipes simply scale the parts in the included Sketchup file to your needs. :-D ] Happy Printing!
